Up to four competitors started at five-minute intervals. Each person in a start group was in a different category. Start group #3 included Jan Harker W5JEN (D21), Bob Frey WA6EZV (50), Marvin Johnston KE6HTS (M60), and Winnie Hennigan KA6OFZ (D50).

Start group #1 runs through the starting corridor and onto the 2m course. Leading is Emily DeYoung K4MLE of Alexandria, KY, followed by Dick Arnett WB4SUV of Erlanger, KY, Vadim Afonkin of Boston, MA, and Scott Moore KF6IKO of Santa Barbara, CA.

Jennifer Harker W5JEN and Winnie Hennigan KA6OFZ stopped at the end of the corridor to get bearings on some of the fox transmitters.

Which way is it? That's what Bill Smathers KG6HXX wants to know on the 2m course.

Speeding down the 2m finish corridor, soon to win medals, are Brian DeYoung K4BRI (M40 Region 2 silver), Marvin Johnston KE6HTS (M60 overall bronze) and Karolina Sucha (D19 overall gold).

Three more 2m medallists nearing the finish: Matthew Robbins AA9YH (M21 overall silver), Scot Barth KA6UDZ (M21 overall bronze) and Charles Scharlau NZØI (M40 Region 2 gold).

Mike Cegelski K8EHP downloads his SportIdent tag data after crossing the finish line in the two-meter hunt. Volunteer Steve Pendley KD5TBX quickly learned how to use the SportIdent computer under the direction of Marvin Johnston KE6HTS, who is standing behind him.

Volunteer Debbie Pendley KD5LOK (also seen in previous photo) updates the results display for each category as the last runners are coming in.
