Bill Smathers KG6HXX runs down the 80m start corridor, on his way to finding three of his required four foxes.

Sam Vigil WA6NGH tried foxhunting for the first time at the 2003 ARRL Southwestern Division convention hunt in San Pedro, CA. After a few local events, he entered the Championships and went to Marvin's training camp. In this 80m hunt, he found two of his required four foxes.

Skidding to a halt, Jay Thompson W6JAY inserts his e-stick into the 80m finish line control station. He found his four required foxes and took home a gold medal for this hunt.

Bob Frey WA6EZV ran so hard to the finish after finding his last fox that he became quite winded at the altitude. Medics Jon Schaffer W6UFS and Bruce Chappell KE6TSM thought that a little oxygen would help him recover more quickly.

The videos of Art Goddard W6XD were a big hit at the closing banquet Saturday evening. Scott Moore KF6IKO is enjoying watching himself on the 80m course.

Harley Leach KI7XF is used to winning medals. Coming in at less than 51 minutes, he had the best time of the day on 80 meters, almost 20 minutes ahead of overall second.

Winning a silver medal, a bronze medal, and a place on ARDF Team USA was Bob Frey WA6EZV.

Matt Robbins AA9YH came close but didn't win any medals at the championships in Ohio in 2004. This time he captured two silvers. Persistence pays!

Also winning his first medal in his second time at the USA Championships was Scot Barth KA6UDZ.

It's traditional for Ardee Fox, our ARDF mascot, to wear a medal home. April Moell WA6OPS is the Official Fox Wrangler.
